Entertainment Journalism
In 2010, I became a Variety intern at the then-daily’s iconic Los Angeles headquarters on Wilshire Boulevard. After returning to the East Coast in 2011, I began contributing to VPage, the events column overseen by longtime editor Bob Hoefler. I continued to write for various editors at the publication until 2022. During the pandemic, I created a Substack newsletter to scratch the itch.
Branded Content
For Variety’s Branded Content Studio, I wrote thoroughly researched sample articles for studio promotion and proudly contributed to Variety’s Easterseals Disability Services special issue on diversity and inclusion.
Premieres & Special Events
Most assignments comprised Hollywood film premieres in both Los Angeles and New York. I have represented Variety on numerous red carpets and parties, conducting interviews with major film/TV celebrities and filmmakers. I was assigned gala events, book parties, and more intimate special events or screenings on which to report.
